ANUSARA
YOGA
An inspiring, effective and modern system of hatha yoga
founded
by master yogi and teacher, John Friend, in 1997. Precise
alignement principles
promote integrigy, flexibility, and strength in the body,
empowering students to reach
their full potential.
Heartfelt themes connect students to the deeper
purpose of yoga, and a broad-based
philosophy of intrinsic goodness informs our approach for
teaching
and for building community.
FUNDAMENTALS
Have you been wanting to start yoga but haven't been able
to find a class
basic enough for you? The Fundamentals class will
introduce you to basic
yoga postures at a pace that will allow you to build your
practice with
ease and much benefit. This highly personalized class is
limited to 10 students.
Registration is required.
YOGA HOUR
An hour of play and practice; a fun, active, mixed-level
flow class for only $5
(cash only).
LEVEL 1
An ongoing exploration into the art and science of yoga.
Ideal for the yoga student new to Anusara
Yoga and for continuing students.
LEVEL 1-2
The foundation created in the Level 1 class is expanded
upon in a variety of poses.
LEVEL 2
Expands the boundaries, from the integrity and knowledge
gained in a the Level 1-2 class,
in a wide variety of poses.
Advanced Practice
Explore the outer limits of your asana practice in a fun,
supportive, and inspiring environemtent.
Students must be able to kick up into handstand at the
wall
and come up into a full backbend with straight arms on
their own.
Yoga For Depression and Anxiety
Depression and anxiety are increasingly common among people
of all ages, and manifest in a variety of
ways-mentally, emotionally, and physcally. In this class
you will learn gentle yet powerful practices
for dealing with these states, including yoga, meditation,
pranayama, and self-study.
This highly
personalized class is limited to 10 students. Registration
is required.
PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION
Individualized or
semi-private
instruction as an introduction to yoga, as a personal
practice or
for addressing therapeutic needs. Prenatal and Postpartum
instruction
to begin or continue a regular yoga practice. Click

VIPASSANA MEDITATION
Join the Albuquerque Vipassana Sangha for Vipassana
meditation, Sundays, 6:30-8pm.
Guided chanting and meditation followed by discussion. Each sitting will
begin with chanting and will
close with the sharing of blessings. Bring cushions; blankets and
chairs are available to use. Doors
will be locked at 6:45pm. All are welcome!
