Typically a 75 minute class
begins with a cleansing breath, followed by 10 minutes warm up, then 50 minutes of moderately paced and uniquely sequenced asanas (yoga postures), adding a new pose each month “the pose of the month” to help each student explore new territories within their own bodies. We end the class with 5 min in savasana (corpse pose) to bring total relaxation and rejuvenation within and without.

Slow Flow in ABQ! - Beg/inter

Basic Flow - Beginner
7 weeks series Jan 7 - Feb 25
Intro to yoga and flow yoga, this class is perfect for students completely new to this practice. You will learn all the basic poses, yogic breathing, and retrain your body to completely relax. This is a very valuable class for those of you who wish to start up yoga.

$84 / person (register and pay by Jan 3)

If you know you cannot attend certain classes please let us know and your package fee can be adjusted accordingly.

Slow Flow Series - Beg/inter
10 weeks Series Jan 3 - March 7
In this series students will work on foundation poses with an emphasize on shoulder and hip openers incorporating different basic breath techniques to help support their practice and calm the entire nervous system. We will learn preparation poses for basic arm balances such as Bakasana (crane) & basic inversions like Sarvangasana (shoulder stand) to strengthen the upper body structure. 

If you have missed the beginning of the series you can still join and get your package pro-rated !

Slow Flow - All level
End or start your week with a Slow Flow Yoga class that will take you through gentle Asana (yoga postures) sequences developing strength without exertion to allow for a more gentle healing response of the body easing you into your week or weekend removing accumulated body stress.
This is a perfect class for all level students who are looking to nurture their body while deepening their connection to their inner awareness & focus on alignment with each posture.
You will deepen your existing yoga practice without feeling overwhelmed with the pace.



Vinyasa Yoga Flow - Inter/Advance (a least one year of yoga practice)
Done with music chosen from a variety of soothing rhythm from around the world. This dynamic Yoga Flow will continuously keep you moving from one pose to another, yet
at times staying in one Asana for 5 breaths to build strength.
Learning to incorporate the Ujjayi breath (the ocean breath), Drishty (gaze), and Bandhas (navel power) to naturally give birth to a meditative state of "Bliss".
Developing strength, flexibility &
endurance of the body expect to sweat and burn calories.
You will leave class feeling inspired and renewed, free of mental burden and emotional instability (Vrittis).





Community Flow-  All level
Offering a low cost class for the local community. A gentle  slow flow geared to relieve tension and heal your injuries. You will gain flexibility, balance, strength, feel more energized, learn yogic breathing to give you vitality and control over undesirable emotions, thoughts & feelings. 

Note: If you are new to yoga it is best to take a beginner series first with Slow Flow Monday nights or Basic Flow Friday mornings.

Yoga Alignment & Benefits Workshop

Deepen your understanding of your own yogic posture while knowing their benefits.


Within each yoga pose there is a therapeutic benefit and a yogic strength to help each student transform him/herself emotionally, mentally & spiritually while practicing these Asanas. Learn what these benefits are and how to you can use certain poses to cope with your life on a daily basis.

When we practice our Asanas it is very difficult to see ourselves and know if we are in correct alignment or not. In this workshop we will go over each basic groups of Asanas to correct your posture and help you move to the full expression of each pose for your body type. You leave with a change yoga practice that will work best for you at this time.
Take your own notes or just absorb all you can while in class and learn while practicing. Each will further their own current understanding of their yoga posture at the level they hold and will discover the ins & out of their own body type.

Curriculum: *not complete, may be subject to change. Jan 15 - Yoga alignment & benefits on Sun salutation Asana + back bends & hip openers

Jan 22 - Yoga alignment & benefits on Standing poses + standing balance

Jan 29 - Yoga alignment & benefits on Seated stretch + inversions

Vinyasa Basic Workshop

Discover the "ins and outs" of each yoga posture within Vinyasa Flow.


We will go over basic Asanas (poses) and their correct alignment, learn breath techniques (Pranayam), basic arm balances, and discover the 8 Limbs of yoga (meditation, bandhas, nyamas & yamas, etc) as taught by Patanjali to assimilate in your yogic practice and understand the origins of yoga.
You will go home with a complete yoga routine (in a pamphlet) that can be continued at home on your own. This class is perfect for all level students, each will further their own current knowledge of yoga to the degree they need while discovering the ins & out of yoga philosophy that can be applied to their life immediately.

Curriculum:
Nov 6 - Asana (3rd Limb) + Pranayama (4th Limb) & Bandhas (Locks) with Hasta & Pada Bandha (hand & feet lock)
Nov 13 - Asanas (3rd Limb) + Yamas (1st Limb; 5 codes of conducts) & Niyamas (2nd Limb; 5 observances)
Nov 20 - Asanas (3rd Limb) + Dhyana (7th Limb) Contemplation & Meditation + Dharana (6th Limb; concentration)

New to Yoga?
  1. Start with  Basic Flow Series for beginners or a Slow Flow Series for beg/intermediate and sign-up for the series.
  2. For best result allocate some of your time to at least 1 session per week.
  3. Take the Vinyasa Basic workshop as soon as it is available

  5. Give yourself  some time (at least one series) before judging if yoga is working for you or not.
  6. Take the Yoga Alignment & Benefits workshop after you have completed 1 or 2 yoga series (10 - 20 classes).
  7. Let your teacher know about any injuries or any special need before starting class
  8. Relax as best you can while in class and have fun!
